Tiger Leads Through 9 Holes on Sunday
Tiger Woods made a strong start to his final round at The 147th Open, leading through nine holes on Sunday. The 15-time major champion shot a 3-under 33 on the front nine of the Old Course at St Andrews, putting him one stroke ahead of playing partner Rory McIlroy.
Woods' Record at The Open
Woods has a strong record at The Open, having won the tournament three times in 2000, 2005, and 2006. He is also a two-time runner-up in 2002 and 2008.
Woods missed the cut at The Open in 2022, but he has shown good form in recent weeks, finishing second at the Genesis Invitational and fifth at the Masters.
