Argentina Defeats Canada to Reach Copa América Final

Messi and Álvarez Send Argentina to Title Match

Argentina advanced to the Copa América final with a 2-0 victory over Canada on Tuesday night at the Estadio Monumental in Buenos Aires.

Lionel Messi and Julián Álvarez scored the goals for Argentina, who will now face Brazil in the final on Saturday.

Messi's goal came in the 28th minute when he curled a free kick into the top corner of the net.

Álvarez doubled the lead in the 57th minute with a header from a cross by Nahuel Molina.

Canada had its chances to score, but could not find the back of the net.

The Canadians were making their first appearance in the Copa América since 2001.

They had a strong showing in the tournament, finishing second in their group and defeating Haiti in the quarterfinals.

However, they came up short against a more experienced Argentina team.

Argentina will now look to win their 15th Copa América title, which would be their first since 2021.

Brazil will be a tough opponent, but Argentina will be confident after their victory over Canada.
