AOC secures over $12 million for Bronx and Queens

REP. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez secured over $12 million for The Bronx and Queens, the youngest member of Congress announced Thursday.

AOC secured the funding from the federal government to help fund various projects, including new elevators for seniors at NYCHA, increasing funding for after-school programs, and more.

"This funding is a testament to the power of community organizing and advocacy," Ocasio-Cortez said in a statement. "I am proud to have worked with my colleagues in the House and Senate to deliver these resources to our communities."
