Zach Arnett Fired From Mississippi State

Mississippi State fired Zach Arnett on Monday after less than two seasons. Arnett, who was hired in December 2021, led the Bulldogs to a 9-4 record in 2022, including a berth in the ReliaQuest Bowl.
However, Mississippi State stumbled to a 3-9 record in 2023, including a 1-7 mark in SEC play.
Arnett's firing comes as Mississippi State is set to begin its search for a new head coach. The Bulldogs are hoping to find a coach who can lead them back to the success they enjoyed under Dan Mullen, who left for Florida in 2017.
Mississippi State is set to open the 2024 season at home against Louisiana Tech.
